This presentation can be played in 2 ways:
- Manual: Click through at your own pace, starting and stopping the narration when needed.
- Automatic: Click the first slide to begin, sit back, and enjoy the show! (10 minutes plus teacher-guided multiple choice comprehension questions at the end).
The presentation includes information about Christmas, St. Lucia’s Day, holiday greetings in the country’s language, who the Santa figure is, what people eat, how they decorate, and what they do to celebrate.
Throughout the slideshow, there will be interactive slides that are designed to motivate student conversation about their learning:
- Make a Connection: Connect the content to your own experiences
- Think About It: Think about the question posed and answer thoughtfully with a peer
- Comprehension Check:Following the slideshow, there are 5-6 multiple choice slides for the teacher to read aloud and discuss with the class to check understanding; each slide is immediately followed by the answer key for that question. This section is not automatic or narrated, and is designed for the class to explore at their own pace.
